Description: HavServe Volunteer Service Network was founded in the aftermath of the devastating earthquake that hit Haiti on January 12, 2010. HavServe is a nonprofit organization - 501(c)3- that promotes community-led development through volunteerism in rural Haiti. HavServe contributes to empowering community members - especially girls and women - through education, training and the development of the necessary infrastructure to provide basic services in rural communities where access to social services is limited or non-existent. We also partner with six Haitian schools and support them with ongoing training. At the HavServe International Academy, we put emphasis on entrepreneurship, social business, permaculture gardening, Soccer as a tool for development and lifelong learning for parents and their children, especially girls.
