The innovative tech developers at Clear-Coat make some of the strongest and most durable protection film and skins for mobile devices. The logo for their main product line in no way referenced the benefits of the product. This meant that not only did the logo not compete well against similar brands that used symbols of protection, it also didn’t communicate visually to people speaking foreign languages (a big part of their market).
That’s where we came in. Based on the existing logo, we started by crafting the letterforms to be bolder to make a stronger impression and work at all sizes. Then we envisioned visual ways of incorporating the idea of protection into the logo design. We came up with a solution that symbolizes the all around protection their product offers, in a visual way that is easy to understand (in any language) and memorable. We hope this helps the world of gadget heads recognize this brand and use more of their products to keep their devices safe.
