Description: CUE was founded in 1998 by two people who strongly believed that workforce learning should be linked with organizational strategy - John Wells, Ed.D., and Karen Barley. CUE's co-founders are experts in the strategic learning arena. In 2003, John Wells, Ed.D., took on the role of Senior Advisor to CUE, and Karen Barley continued to lead CUE's growth as President. In just a few short years, the company has matured from a start up consulting agency to a motivating force in the rapidly expanding strategic learning industry. Headquartered inside the Washington, DC beltway in Alexandria, VA, CUE is a privately-held corporation. Currently, the company is owned and managed by Karen Barley and Teresa Sayasithsena. Under their leadership-along with expert contributions from a cadre of managers, associates, and consultants-the company has achieved recognition in T+D Magazine, The New Corporate University Review, Employee Benefits News, Training Magazine, and Recruit; engaged in international collaborations; and earned awards for its organizational development and strategic learning designs.
